Let’s get it on.

Almost every time I write to you, it's about how to have more intimate relationships.

…with your partner (intimacy and passion), yourself (self-care and self-love), and your body's health and wellness.

You might get the idea that I'm always "ON"… that I'm always in the mood for intimacy and warmth.

It might even make you feel "less than." If you're not always sweet and steamy with your partner, there's something wrong with you.

So today, I wanted to assure you that I'm a lot like you.

I have my ebbs and flows of moods beyond the monthly hormonal cycles that make women more or less interested in physical intimacy.

Sometimes life gets busy, yes.

…except when you're in a natural lull.

It happens to all of us.

And here's what I do to get "back in the saddle."

Now, this may or may not be the thing that works for you. People have different ways to get emotionally open to love—reading or watching romantic fiction, stargazing, or having a date night without the kids.

But somebody HAS to take the initiative.

That is what's critical.

You'll be waiting forever if you wait for passionate moments to happen spontaneously.

People want to be wanted… wish to be wooed… want to be pursued.

If you feel like you are always the one who initiates, at the end of the day, does it matter?

Maybe you are the best one to initiate, and your partner is better off responding. If they respond, can't that be enough?

Instead of holding out for "perfect," put a stake in the ground.

Stand for your relationship.

Stand for your intimate connection.

Because as you're laying beside each other with hearts and minds open, who cares how you got there?

Give your body what it craves: connection and pleasure.

Planned romantic activities and bedroom adventures can be so much fun. It gives you something to look forward to.
