Acid Blockers: COVID Risk and ED in women and men

This arti­cle from Time Mag­a­zine stopped me in my tracks: Pop­u­lar Heart­burn Drugs Linked to Height­ened COVID-19 Risk.

It quotes a Cedars Sinai Hos­pi­tal study where peo­ple tak­ing pro­ton pump inhibitors were 2-4 times more like­ly to get coro­n­avirus.

"Respon­dents who said they used pro­ton pump inhibitor (PPI) med­ica­tions to treat their heart­burn had any­where from two to near­ly four times the risk of test­ing pos­i­tive for COVID-19."

There is a lot of data about the impor­tance of a good gut micro­bio­me and HIGH stom­ach acid to sup­port immu­ni­ty and fight off the coro­n­avirus.

ALTERNATIVE TO ACID BLOCKERS

If you've been tak­ing acid block­ers, you may want to talk to your doctor about the nat­ur­al option I've out­lined below. Acid block­ers increase your chances of get­ting sick from coro­n­avirus (study below), dimin­ish your body's blood flow, and con­tribute sig­nif­i­cant­ly to erec­tile dys­func­tion.

ED affects women equal­ly — you can't see the dys­func­tion because 95% of your erec­tile tis­sue is inside, instead of stick­ing out. Acid block­ers cause a lack of plea­sure in women as well as men.

Your gut is the foun­da­tion of your immune strength. Hav­ing good bac­te­ria (no yeast, par­a­sites, or bad bac­te­r­i­al over­growths) and good stom­ach acid to kill bac­te­r­i­al invaders and uti­lize the nutri­ents from your food is how your sys­tem is designed to work.
